 Visa/Passport

Passports: It is very important to make sure you have a valid and current passport at least a 3 months before your trip. Passport applications can take a long time to process so the sooner it's taken care of the better. Bring at least two xerox copies of your passport in case of theft. They can be very helpful in the replacement process.

Visas: Visas can be obtained upon arrival in the Kathmandu airport. 15 and 30 day visas are issued. If you plan on staying in Nepal for longer than 30 days then you must apply for an extension at the department of immigration in Kathmandu or Pokhara. It is possible to get a visa at the embassy in your home country but keep in mind that it can take a very long time. Make sure that you bring at least four extra passport photos with you to Nepal for various applications. Eco-Trek can also help you
in getting your visa extended for a small fee.

Trekking Permits: All Trekking permits and special park fees are not included in the overall price of the trip. Main trekking routes have minimal fees while off the beaten path treks can have much more expensive fees. Eco-Trek will do all the paper work for you and make sure that the permits are in order.
