There are three different variations of this route. All include views of Mt. Everest and use of the best lodging available in the Everest Region. The short version is for people with out much time who want an Everest experience. The medium length version takes an additional four days and allows a more in depth experience at the higher altitudes, with better time for acclimatization and contemplation. The longest version visits either the famous Everest view from Kala Phathar or treks into the grand Gokyo Valley for mountain view beyond compare. All tours fly into the airstrip at Lukla and return to Kathmandu the same way.
The short version: 7 days (Namche and Tengboche) The medium length: 10 days Lukla to Gokyo Lake (Thame, Khumjung, Namche and Tengboche) The longest version 14 days Lukla to Basecamp (Gokyo or Kala Patar/ Everest Base Camp)
